Outside it's really cold, so what could be better than holing up in the warmth of your own home to prepare snacks for friends? Banana, strawberries and chocolate crepes were the main attraction of late afternoon yesterday: great result!

Fuori fa veramente freddo, quindi cosa c'è di meglio che rintanarsi nel calduccio della propria casa a preparare stuzzichini per gli amici? Crepes banane, fragole e cioccolato sono state il piatto forte del tardo pomeriggio di ieri: risultato... ottimo!

Homemade Snowball Cookies

Snow Heart

It has finally arrived! I asked it as a gift to Santa Claus and now, with only a month of delay, here it is: the snow!

Gloves, hat and... come on, playing as a little girl!

Snowball Cookies Recipe:

1 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar,
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
salt
1 cup pecans
(for 30 cookies)

Preheat oven to 180°.
Put the butter in large bowl. Add sugar and vanilla. Mix and add flour and salt. Then add the nuts.
Shape into balls and bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.
Dust powdered sugar on snowball cookies as soon as they come out of oven.

Finalmente è arrivata! L'avevo chiesta in dono a Babbo Natale ed ora, con solo un mesetto di ritardo, eccola qui: la neve!
Guanti, cappello e... via, a giocare come una bambina!

Ricetta per le "Palline di neve"

1 tazza di burro o margarina

1/2 tazza di zucchero,

1 cucchiaino di vaniglia

2 tazze di farina

un pizzico di sale

1 tazza di noci

(per 30 cookies)

Preriscaldare il forno a 180 °.

Mettere il burro in una grande ciotola. Aggiungere lo zucchero e la vaniglia. Mescolare e aggiungere la farina e il sale. Quindi aggiungere le noci.

Formare delle palline e cuocere in forno preriscaldato per 15 minuti.

Polverizzare lo zucchero a velo sulle palline di neve non appena tolte dal forno.

I always like to mix "institutional" to more aggressive pieces (when I was about fifteen years, I refused to remove my beloved Dr. Martens: I wore them even at weddings, combining to elegant and romantic dresses... with great disapproval of my mother!): so, a simple grey blazer is enough to defuse my leggings in (fake) leather!
(Please, pay no attention to my hair: it is the fault of the strong wind, but... this is definitely a bad hair day!).

Da sempre mi piace mischiare pezzi "istituzionali" a capi più aggressivi (quando avevo quindici anni mi rifiutavo di togliere le mia amate Dr Martens: le indossavo persino ai matrimoni, abbinandole ad abitini eleganti e romantici... con grande disapprovazione di mia mamma!): un semplice blazer grigio quindi è sufficiente per sdrammatizzare i miei leggins in (finta) pelle!
(Perfavore, non fate caso ai miei capelli: sarà stata colpa del forte vento, ma... si tratta decisamente di un bad hair day!!!).

As I told you in yesterday's post, although I had promised myself to take a breath to the credit card after the extra work of Christmas, my passion for shoes, handbags t-shirts & Co. has again taken over. And... I did a bit of healthy online shopping!
The husband can not really complain about it this time: between sales and savings in not having to pay for parking the car I was really very good!
The loot? Even shoes, clothes, bags, a cardigan so... cozy, waterproof boots (also them by Moschino ... but what can I do?!?! I love Moschino so much!), a pair of socks...
Please, stop me!

Come vi raccontavo nel post di ieri, nonostante mi fossi ripromessa di far prendere fiato alla carta di credito dopo il lavoro extra delle feste natalizie, la mia passione per scarpe borse t-shirt &Co. ha nuovamente preso il sopravvento. E... mi sono data ad un po' di sano shopping online!

Il marito non può proprio lamentarsi, questa volta: tra i saldi ed il risparmio nel non dover nemmeno pagare il parcheggio dell'auto sono stata davvero bravissima!

Il bottino? Ancora scarpe, vestitini, borse, un cardigan so... cozy, stivali antipioggia (anche questi di Moschino... ma che ci posso fare?!?! I love Moschino so much!!), un paio di parigine...

As I told you here, a few days ago I stocked up on pinecones, various branches, acorns, berries.

This is one of the first, simple Christmas decorations made for my house.
Some pinecone, gold paint (spray can also be fine) and you're done!

What about it?

Come vi avevo anticipato qui, qualche giorno fa avevo fatto scorta di pigne, rami vari, ghiande, bacche. Ecco una delle prime, semplicissime decorazioni natalizie realizzate per la mia casa.

One of my sweet reader, Pamela, wrote to me asking for a little fashion tip:

"I have a question for you, but rather than question, I need some advice: for me every morning is a shock, I never know what to wear so I always put the same clothes despite a closet full of things...

I'm always on a diet and my work forced me to use a very comfortable and simple clothing (I am a nursery school teacher), but even so I would always put nice things. So who better than you can give me some advice? "

What you see here I use as a cape, today I had fun re-interpreting it and using it as a sweater, sinching it at the waist with a belt.
The winter does not seem to want to begin this year: 14 degrees today was perfect for a stroll in the park ... what a strange fantastic December!

Quello che qui mi avete visto usare come cappa, oggi mi sono divertita a reinterpretarlo e usarlo come maglione, stringendolo in vita con una cintura.

This warm and sunny December is giving me the chance to do one of the things I like most: walking in the countryside. The spoils of the last lap in the woods? Acorns, pine cones and branches to make a few different homemade Christmas decoration (which I'll show you soon)!

Many thanks to all those designers who have re-evaluated the maxi-bags in recent years: they are the only salvation when you know what time you leave your house in the morning, but... do not know when you return!
My shopper usually weighs kilograms and kilograms: I put in it blackberry, purses, keys, cosmetic bag, but also books, magazines, candy-snacks-chocolates-gum, iPod, compact camera, the inseparable moleskine, a notepad, a pashmina, a small umbrella, patches for pain shoes, sanitizing gel, etc etc.
And yesterday I increased the load: heels and clutch for a quick change for dinner with the girls.

And what about you? Do you prefer large or small bags? Do you bring in the bag your whole world like me or just the essentials?

Grazie infinite a tutti quegli stilisti che negli ultimi anni hanno rivalutato le maxi-bag: sono l'unica salvezza quando sai a che ora esci di casa la mattina, ma... non sai quando rientrerai!
La mia shopper, solitamente, pesa chili e chili: oltre a portafogli, chiavi e trousse, ci metto anche libri, riviste, caramelle-snack-cioccolatini-chewingum, ipod, macchina fotografica compatta, l'inseparabile moleskine, un block notes, una pashmina, un ombrellino, ecc. ecc.
E ieri ho aumentato il carico: tacchi e pochette per un cambio veloce per la cena con le ragazze.

E voi preferite le borse grandi o piccole? Anche voi, come me, vi portate dietro tutto il vostro mondo o solo l'essenziale?

Scarf, Necklace and Lipbalm H&M

Today I just want to cuddle myself: a warm scarf (although the thermometer marked 14 degrees in Milan!), a new necklace to match with that beautiful orange bag I've seen in a window of the city center a few days ago (and which now I'll have to buy!!), a vanilla scented lip balm.
All strictly low cost: thank you, Holy H&M!
And then, back home, the hubby gave me a delightful surprise to begin to enter fully into the right Christmas spirit: a compilation of Michael Buble dedicated entirely to Christmas!
(I would remind my hubby that, however, just 3 days before Christmas, there is also another important event: my birthday! You have to do twice the work , my dear ... do not waste time! ).

Oggi avevo proprio voglia di coccolarmi: una calda sciarpona (nonostante il termometro a Milano segnasse 14 gradi!), una nuova collana da abbinare a quella meravigliosa borsa arancione che ho visto in una vetrina del centro qualche giorno fa (e che io ora sarò costretta a comperare!), un profumatissimo balsamo per labbra alla vaniglia.
Tutto rigorosamente low cost: grazie, santo H&M!

E poi, tornata a casa, il marito mi ha fatto trovare una deliziosa sorpresa per iniziare ad entrare in pieno nel giusto spirito natalizio: una compilation di Michael Bublè interamente dedicata al Natale!
(Vorrei ricordare al marito che, comunque, appena 3 giorni prima di Natale c'è anche un'altra importantissima ricorrenza: il mio compleanno!!! Hai il doppio del lavoro da fare, mio caro... non perdere tempo!!!)

Luminys Touch by Pupa

Today is just a bad day: do not even compulsive shopping at Ikea for lunch (accompanied by a couple of their organic vegetables flan) was able to straighten my Tuesday.
But back home, I found a surprise in the mail: the new Touch Luminys by Pupa.
Illuminator and concealer: it promises to correct dark circles, minimize signs of fatigue and reduce imperfections.
And I must admit that this time it could save my life, considering that lately every morning when I look in the mirror I find myself chatting amiably with those two maxi bags (Chanel of course) under my eyes which I call by name.

I will let you know if it works!

Oggi è proprio una giornata NO: nemmeno lo shopping compulsivo in pausa pranzo da Ikea (accompagnato da un paio dei loro sformati alle verdure bio) è riuscito a raddrizzare il mio martedì.
Però, tornata a casa, ho trovato nella cassetta della posta una sorpresa: il nuovo Luminys Touch di Pupa.
Illuminatore e correttore: promette di correggere le occhiaie, minimizzare i segni di stanchezza e ridurre le imperfezioni.
E devo ammettere che in questo periodo potrebbe salvarmi la vita, considerando che ultimamente ogni mattina, guardandomi allo specchio, mi ritrovo a chiacchierare amabilmente con quelle due maxi borse (ovviamente firmate Chanel) sotto gli occhi che ormai chiamo rigorosamente con nome proprio.

This strange November has given us another Saturday in the sun: and I have the opportunity to be outdoors and enjoy the fresh air of the afternoon.

A walk in the city center looking for some ideas for Christmas gifts, the inauguration of a photographic exhibition of a dear friend and a drink with chatter among women.
Then go back to the warmth of my house and spend the evening in front of the fireplace.

I love the Saturday... also because I know I still have all of Sunday in front of me to enjoy my friends and family!

Questo strano novembre ci ha regalato un altro sabato di sole: e io ne ho approfittato per stare all'aperto e godermi l'aria frizzantina del pomeriggio.
Una passeggiata in centro alla ricerca di qualche idea per i regali di Natale (manca solo un mese!!!), l'inaugurazione della mostra fotografica di un caro amico e un aperitivo con chiacchiere fra donne.
Per poi tornarmene al calduccio della mia casa e passare la serata davanti al camino.

Adoro il sabato... anche perchè so di avere ancora tutta la domenica davanti a me per godermi gli amici e la famiglia!

What you need:
about 3 feet of chain
about 3 meters strip of skin Cut several strips of leather and chains of the same length (about 50 cm).

Align with each other and merge them with simple knots at different lengths.

Una creazione dell'ultimo minuto, realizzata per valorizzare meglio il classico little black dress.
Occorrente:
circa 3 metri di catena
circa 3 metri di striscia di pelle

Tagliare diverse strisce di catena e pelle della stessa lunghezza (circa 50 cm ).
Allinearle fra loro e unirle grazie a semplici nodi a diverse lunghezze.
